Sustainability
At Hotel The Hague - Wassenaar, sustainability is of utmost importance! It is not without reason that we are the proud winner of the GAIA Green Awards presented in September 2025 and were named the most sustainable hotel in the Netherlands! Thanks to heat pumps and solar panels, our hotel can operate completely without gas. The gas we use is self-generated through a biogas plant, which is fed with food waste.
The hotel is built according to BREEAM standards, and ecological measures have been taken to develop local flora and fauna. For example, think of our own beehive, bat boxes, and a vegetable garden to grow food.
Furthermore, we operate completely electrically. It feels good to be mindful of the world, and in this way, we are also prepared for the future.
