What makes our biogas digester special is that the produced biogas is actually used in the hotel. The gas feeds the fireplace in our Gastrobar Hop.
This gives food that would otherwise be disposed of as waste a second life as a sustainable energy source. Guests enjoy the warm and cozy ambiance of the fireplace, which is partly fueled by energy sourced from our own food waste streams.
This is a tangible example of circular entrepreneurship: waste is converted into energy that is directly reused within our organization.
