The museum has various artworks, but the absolute highlight is the Panorama Mesdag of Scheveningen.

Panorama Mesdag

Panorama Mesdag, located in The Hague, is a unique cultural attraction that takes visitors back to the 19th century with one of the largest panoramic paintings in the world. Painted by the famous Dutch artist Hendrik Willem Mesdag, this impressive artwork of 14 meters high and 120 meters in circumference offers a 360-degree view of the sea, the dunes, and the fishing village Scheveningen as it was in 1881.

The pavilion

Upon entering the specially built pavilion, it feels for the visitor as if you are inside the artwork, surrounded by sand and views. The panorama is therefore not only an artistic masterpiece but also a technical wonder, where the play of light and perspective blurs the boundaries between painting and reality.
