Keukenhof Castle
History
Keukenhof owes its name to Keukenhof Castle, where in the 15th century a beautiful garden was laid out by Jacoba of Bavaria. Because she cultivated herbs and other ingredients for her kitchen there, it was called 'Keukenhof'. Since 1950 the garden has been made available for flower shows.
