The winter palace
The Escher in The Palace museum in The Hague is housed in the former Winter Palace of Queen Emma. She was the widow of King Willem III and the regent for her minor daughter Queen Wilhelmina, used this palace as her winter residence. The palace was built in the 19th century and shows the luxurious architecture of that period.
